The room I stayed in had a balcony, and boy, the view was breathtaking! Just sipping my morning coffee there was an absolute delight. I loved the fact that there was a flat-screen TV in my room. I could unwind after a long day of exploring, catching up on my favorite shows. The private bathroom was a real plus. It had a bath/shower combo, and it felt like my little oasis of relaxation. The tile/marble floor in the room gave it a touch of elegance. It made me feel like I was staying in a much more expensive hotel. Having a private entrance was great. I felt like I had my own little hideaway in the bustling city of Kandy.
Although the seating area was convenient, I personally didn't find it very comfortable. But hey, it's just my personal preference.

We stayed at Kandyan Hideout for a few nights during our trip to Kandy. Mr. Paul, the lone staff member, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. He made us delicious fruit juice upon arrival and prepared traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts each morning. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a great balcony with beautiful views. The shower had excellent pressure and hot water. The property had a convenient location, with easy access to the main road and transportation options. We were also grateful for the refillable water station and the parking slot for our scooter. we were very satisfied with our stay.
Would recommend this hotel.

The rooms were huge, clean, and modern. Host Paul was the nicest person we met in Sri Lanka. The location was convenient, just a short bus or tuk-tuk ride from the city. The shuttle pickup service was excellent, even when our train broke down.
Nothing negative to say.

The hotel is located in such a calm area with breathtaking views. It may be on a very steep hill, but the effort to reach it is definitely worth it. The rooms are spacious and have everything required for a comfortable stay, including a balcony. The staff provides great hospitality, with special mention to Paul who cooks one of the best curries we had in Sri Lanka. The hotel also offers a refillable drinking water station, which is a nice touch.
The bathroom in the budget room could be improved, but all else was ok.

Situated on a hill, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Additionally, the staff were exceptional in providing a warm welcome and ensuring my comfort throughout my stay. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a balcony to enjoy the scenic beauty. Lastly, the breakfast served was fantastic, with a variety of delicious options to start the day off right.
While everything was great, there was one small area that could be improved. The cleanliness of the bathrooms could be emphasized a bit more to ensure a more pleasant experience for guests.

the location was superb, nestled on top of a hill with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Our spacious room had a cozy balcony where we enjoyed the cool breeze. the caretaker and owner went above and beyond, welcoming us warmly and offering valuable advice for our excursions. the shower had excellent pressure and hot water, and we were delighted with the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast prepared by Mr Paul. A refillable drinking water station and reliable Wi-Fi were also provided.
Although the location was serene and picturesque, the narrow and confusing roads proved a challenge to navigate at times.

Sun terrace with mountain views was great for taking selfies. The free shuttle service made me feel like a VIP. Had a blast getting lost in the Kandyan district. Free parking saved me tons of money.
Hated the extra tax surprise at checkout. Ugh.

The building was beautifully designed, with a stunning view from the terrace. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure all our needs were met. The breakfast spread was diverse and tasty, and the location was central to all our business meetings.
The rooms were not maintained well, with broken furniture and stained walls. Ants and other insects were present throughout the rooms, causing discomfort.
